On May 26th, 2007 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy we named Aubrion Jae (AJ). Aubrion pronounced Aw-Bree-on because my mother's name in Audrey and Jae pronouced J because his father's first and middle initials are both J. Born 2 months early at 32 weeks, he entered the world weighing four pounds eleven ounces and officially became the littlest thing to ever steal my heart!! AJ who we also call Poody, had to stay in the hospital for about two weeks after he was born to get his weight up. He quickly gained weight thanks to a ongoing regimen of both breast milk and Similac Neosure, which he continued til he was a year old. When we brought him home from the hospital on June 13th, he weighed five pounds seven ounces.
He came home on an Apnea Monitor because he was still so little but he quickly outgrew it and after about two weeks of it, his pediatrician decided he didn't need it anymore. He quickly developed acid reflux and would throw up frequently which worried me but the doctor said that it was nothing to worry about that he would probably grow out of it and sure enough he did right around the 10 month mark.
Bringing him into the world was the most satisfying thing I've ever done in my life to date. Even though he was so tiny, he still hurt like hell!! Lol!! It was all so worth it though.
